Your schedule, under your control.
This policy describes the calendar information Calendar Mate reads and changes on your device, the permissions it uses, and what is shared when you ask for connected features.
1. Scope and app relationship
This policy applies only to Calendar Mate for Android and services called for Calendar Mate features. Calendar Mate is separate from Note Mate and Mate Mail; those apps have separate policies. If you connect Calendar Mate to a family app, Android’s signature-protected integration passes only the information needed for the feature you request.
Calendar Mate can show upcoming events, agendas and widgets, create or edit events, manage invitations where supported by the device calendar, schedule event alerts, prepare briefings, and display selected Note Mate tasks.
2. Information processed
- Calendar event information: event title, description, start/end time, all-day and recurrence details, location text, calendar name, organizer/owner account, attendee addresses and response status where available. This comes from the calendars on your device after you grant Android calendar permissions.
- Reminder and preference data: alert settings, selected calendars, hidden/declined event preferences, widget settings, and local event state used to schedule alerts.
- Family integration: tasks, notes, and meeting-preparation details requested from Note Mate, plus events intentionally passed from Mate Mail or Note Mate.
- Account and diagnostics: family sign-in state and basic app/OS error information where Firebase services are enabled.
Calendar Mate does not declare location, microphone, contacts, or media permissions. An event’s location text may still be read from your calendar record as part of that event.
3. On-device storage and security
Calendar records remain in your device’s calendar provider, which is usually managed by Android and your calendar account provider. Calendar Mate reads or writes only through Android’s Calendar Provider after permission is granted. Reminder schedules and app preferences are kept on the device. Android backup is disabled for Calendar Mate. Network features use HTTPS; no security measure can guarantee protection on a compromised or unlocked device.
5. Android permissions and why they are used
- Read calendar: show your schedule, upcoming events, widgets, event briefings, and event alerts.
- Write calendar: create or modify events and update invitation responses when you request those actions.
- Notifications: display event reminders and scheduled alerts; can be disabled in Android settings.
- Exact alarms: deliver time-sensitive event reminders where Android permits this use. You can manage alarm access in Android settings.
- Boot completed: restore scheduled event alerts after your device restarts or the app is updated.
- Internet and network state: sign in and use requested AI or family-account features.
Calendar access is optional. Denying or revoking it disables schedule-based features but does not grant Calendar Mate access to events through another route.
6. Retention and deletion
Calendar Mate primarily reads and writes events in the device calendar provider. Events remain there until you or the calendar account provider deletes them. Local reminder schedules and preferences remain until you remove them, clear app data, or uninstall. AI requests are temporarily processed by the Worker and configured AI providers under their policies. Deleting Calendar Mate does not delete events stored in your calendar account.
7. Your choices and rights
- Grant or revoke calendar access, notification access, and exact alarm access in Android settings.
- Delete or edit events in Calendar Mate or your calendar provider; changes may sync to other devices.
- Choose whether to use AI and limit the event context you submit.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of account information by contacting shreyaslinks00008@gmail.com. We may verify your identity. Calendar records stored by a provider must be managed with that provider.
Privacy rights vary by location. Some information may remain temporarily in service logs, backups, provider systems, or synced devices outside our control.
8. Children, transfers, and changes
Calendar Mate is not designed for children under 13 (or the higher age required by local law). Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. This policy may change as the app changes; we will update the effective date and communicate material changes through appropriate app or store channels.
